The mandates of the UV and StVs are formally elected every two years in the ÖH elections. While there are many opportunities to get involved in student representation at any point, a lot of the legal powers of Hufak (sending students into commissions, making spending decisions) ultimately reside with the mandates, who have to sign off on them.
